Aster Foundation (Confirmed)
Cameron Kinsella is Director of the Aster Foundation, part of the Aster Group who believe that every housing association should have a strong social purpose and recognise that a home is built from so much more than just the bricks and mortar. The Aster Foundation is Aster’s way of delivering the whole definition of home, giving back to their people and communities and enabling customers to live their best lives. Cam has worked within social housing for eleven years and in this time has specialised in diversity, equality and inclusion, mental health and health infrastructures and also in addressing a range of exclusion challenges. Cam created the award winning ‘Happy, okay, sad’ campaign to break down barriers in talking about mental health; and has created multiple successful services to address health inequalities including a ‘Wellbeing College’ which now forms an integral part of the South Gloucestershire mental health pathway. Cam is an active voice for the role housing plays in health, through being the founder of the Housing and Health Collective - a place based partnership creating systematic change through joining up housing, health and communities. Cam was named an unsung hero of the housing sector in the Excellence in diversity awards; was part of the 100 visionary female leaders cohort 2017/18; and has appeared on the Guardians online diversity panel discussing LGBTQ+ equality.
