Proud to lead Johnnie Johnson Housing as CEO, Yvonne is absolutely passionate about the JJH vision; “Living Longer, Living Better”. Yvonne is pleased to have positively used her wide experience to help drive change internally – strategically, financially and operationally - resulting in culture change, innovation and improved performance for customers. She is very proud of the profile building of Johnnie Johnson Housing in external networks, and especially the input into the Greater Manchester agenda, leading the Steering Groups on Support to the Armed Forces and also Technology Enabled Care. Yvonne utilises her extensive skill set and her varied experience to maximise JJH’s impact in the sector, achieve the ambitions of “outstanding” for all our customers and to be a Market Making success. Yvonne joined JJH in 2015, having worked in social housing for many years with significant experience in providing executive leadership for a range of housing associations nationally. She is passionate that JJH use their homes and services to help people remain independent and reduce resource pressure for our Health and Social Care sector. Yvonne is a founding Board Member of ‘Invisible Creations’ – an idea that started life in the National Housing Federation’s ‘Creating our Future’ Greenhouse programme which is the Federation’s award-winning innovation programme.  She is also a Board Member of the National Housing Consortium. Johnnie Johnson Housing is a not-for-profit housing association, dedicated to offering quality homes for independent living.   The organisation is a provider currently of 5,000 homes in the North West, Yorkshire, Derbyshire and North East Regions, with ambitious growth plans over the coming years. Johnnie Johnson himself was a World War 2 Spitfire Hero who, when he left his planes, found funders to build homes predominantly for veterans.  Over the last 50 years the JJH customer base has spread and homes are provided for many ages, but the main focus is on Independent Living for 50+.  The aim to help our customers remain independent in their own homes for as long as possible through living in sheltered accommodation, providing face to face support and telecare and telehealth services.
